A very popular Harlequinade first published in the United States c.1787 and based on an earlier British title. The manuscript was the work of Benjamin Sands and the woodcuts by James Poupard. This edition was printed by J. Rakestraw and published by Samuel Wood, New York

A homemade harlequinade with Adam, Eve, a lion and a soldier. There is a text with each fold out and the one with the soldier shows a proud man with gold and silver but as we unfold the flaps we find neither gold nor silver can avert death.
