The Eidophusikon was created by Phillippe Jacques de Loutherberg(1740-1812) and first presented in London in February 1781. Lotherberg advertisement refers to"moving pictures" and his mechanical theatre employed many techniques which would later be used in the Diorama and with the Moving Panorama.
